Like the review and the video. Just grabbed an X3600H for $325 on marketplace and relatively happy with it. Just running a 2.1 system with my energy conniseur C9s and I'm not blown away by how loud it gets - I have to jack the volume to get it really up there. Also, it ahs the old style Denon UI. But overall I'm pretty happy for the price and excited to start using audyssey, etc.

Your choice you do get more value with Canyon. I would recommend a better group set though. I regret CF7 as there is a bit of a running noise on braking on front wheel that I could never tune out. When they remove bleed the fluid the calipers don’t run but then I loose braking power.

I agree about room correction - I always leave these systems off and just set the amp up myself. I just did so with a new Denon 2800, which replaced an Onkyo 605. I do kinda disagree about the Denon sound, though - to my ears, running no EQ or Audyssey, the Denon sounds considerably warmer and more laid back compared to my old Onkyo. The Onkyo house sound is definitely more aggressive and in your face, while Denon seems to dial that back a little.... almost like a more mature, refined delivery. I can see why HT enthusiats gravitate to Onkyos for this reason.

I don’t think it matches the Onkyo TX NR6100. The sound on both are similar. Maybe slightly more instrument separation with the Sony. The soundstage is about the same, however, no? Thoughts? For features, for around the same price, the 6100 offers more. So likely the most bang for buck with Onkyo.

    • @SimplyTechReviews
      @SimplyTechReviews 2 місяці тому

I tested LX305 and Onkyo 6050. The LX305 should pretty much be identical to 6100 and to be honest Sony sounds better. More punchy and best surround sound by far. Onkyo and Pioneer sound warm and nice but Sony sounds neutral and lively without getting bright and bass also is tighter.

Dont buy from Thrustmaster. Bought T150 pedals and steering 2023 May. Within a year pedal spring broke and bought new steering and pedals as Thrustmaster does not offer support for parts in Africa. Within even 2 months pedal spring broke again. Customers in America and Europe do enjoy part support to replace the springs only for $5(R90 in South Africa) and African contries are excluded from this support meaning you have to replace the whole kit or get a company to make the springs for you. Shipping quotes were ridiculous and even with a guarantee how long will it take to fix and how many times a year? My advice is dont buy Thrustmaster. Im trying logitech or fanatec. My question is why even sell your products in Africa and exclude them from part support. its like selling a car and not offering parts for it

Didn’t hear anyone mention the Onkyo having the best sound. Actually the Pioneer and Onkyo are now the same parent company and virtually identical sound signature. The Onkyo 6050, as mentioned, is way less money. Nice warm mids compared to the Denon, which is sterile. Instrument separation is good on the Denon, but pretty sterile sound with no warmth in the midrange. The Marantz is way more money and, to me, does not sound better

I just picked up the 305 for $500 new open box from ebay. Personally I am kind of a Pioneer head. Pioneer was just the go to system for cars when I was growing up and they have always made decent products. I still have my pioneer elite vsx-56txi. That is a very old receiver but it still sounds incredible. Will hate to let it go with it's 110W per channel it just shines when it comes to sound but it's time to upgrade because it's missing a lot of modern features and doen't even have an HDMI lol. I have it connected to my TV via optical cable. Yeah the thing's just ancient but in all honesty it sounds incredible even today. Owell it's time to move on hope the 305 won't disappoint.

hello Sr! nice video!!. i want to upgrade my receiver I have a denon avr s750h running a 5.2.2, and I am happy with it but I feel something is missing in the atmos area. perhaps because my listening position is against the back wall and my surrounds and atmos speakers both are against the wall and basically in the corners. so I have heard sony's spatial sound mapping brings the cinematic experience to another level. do you think sony will make a difference in my case? i am so tempted to buy this str an1000, I also looked at the ES series and I fell in love with the looks of those...so I might stretch my budget and buy the str az3000. both then again ... is it worth the upgrade? i have nothing to compare to... i just rely on what UA-camrs say. what would you do?

Spend a little more for the Pioneer vsxlx505 or the Onkyo RZ50. They held their own against my Arcam AVR5 at $2000

Great video. Will surely check more of your content. By the way, is it possible to wirelessly connect SA-RS3S as back speakers, connect SA-SW3 wirelessly, and also connect a wired center channel speaker in AN1000 Sony receiver model?

I was trying to decide between the AN1000 and the AZ3000 and your two videos on these receivers were very helpful. Thanks for saving me $1000!

Glad you liked… the only major difference is the sub gains on AN 1000 would be set at 20% higher compared to AZ3000.

What puzzles me about these e-bike reviews is that I see more and more young, obviously quite fit guys buying and using them, and I have to ask why. I always thought the e- bike market, particularly the road bikes, was aimed at riders who, perhaps through age or some unfortunate disability/illness problem, could not cycle as they used to so switched to some form of electric assist. It never occurred to me to consider e-assist until I was in my late eighties, when the hills were getting too difficult, and my distances and average speed had dropped significantly. Finally, when I hit 90, I added a simple, light, friction drive kit to my road bike, which has been very good. For me, and many others, no doubt, this was a sort of last resort, but I still ask the question, why the younger and fitter?

To explore longer and go further… you can turn off the support altogether or turn it on on an incline. This bike doesn’t feel like an e scooter and can give you quite a workout.

Subscribed to your Channel - Following from Kenya 🇰🇪, East Africa. Presentation and explanation, on point! Quick ones/advice? 1. Amongst sets of: AVRS Sony STR - AN1000 or ES - AZ3000 (8K), OR, Denon XR2800H or XR3800H Which one would you recommend as an all round and value/bang for the money (future proof)? 2. Amongst sets of Speakers of: Sony/Klipsch/Sonos for 5.1.2 set up, Which one would you recommend for the above chosen AVR?

For the AV receivers it really depends on your local pricing. Take into account Denon is little bright, Onkyo/Pioneer are warm-ish, Sony is my personal favorite in terms of audio quality but has its quirks. Having said that a lot of folks prefer Denon 3800H because from a. feature standpoint it's got everything covered. Regarding your second question.... It's very subjective and I havent tested all speakers. I would suggest if you could read other reviews or do a demo for the speakers you shortlist, that would be the way to go.

The Sony ES line are the ones to compare to the Marantz 7015,Denon x3800h,Onkyo RZ50,and the yamaha aventage line. The Sony an1000 is their value line, not their premium line.

Even though I am currently using a Yamaha AVR I have heard a couple of different AVR's from Sony's ES line and was pleasantly impressed by the sound quality. Some of these big name brands do miss out on some customers because they fail to put a feature in their product that many people expect from the price point on said product. As an example on many AVR's that provide two subwoofer outputs the outputs are usually in parallel from a single channel rather than each output being sourced from it's own channel. I can't see it being prohibitively expensive to have it so each sub out comes from it's own source. On an AVR that is $1600 dollars that should be doable. That is only one example and there are many others.

Now that these been out for over year. I wonder when new one with separate sub controls.

I am wondering the same thing. Subs should not only be configured in parallel from a single source/channel.

I would like to buy this receiver. An enigma is bothering me! If a device (DVD) that has an hdmi output is connected to, for example, the Video 1 input via hdmi. Input settings ?????? Is it possible to connect an analog device to the analog input of the Video 1 receiver (video and audio), for example, a VCR? Does the receiver recognize both signals at the same input? I read the user manual where there is no explanation for such a connection. It is only stated. hdmi and input name change. My question is whether it is possible to simultaneously connect to the input with the same name Video 1 (hdm and analog) and whether the receiver automatically recognizes it? Unless! Is it possible to choose hdmi or analog through the menu setting? Does it allow this possibility when several devices are running and the other is not being used at the same time!? I hope you understand my question!
